About

I have always had a great love and appreciation for trees and especially indigenous fauna and flora; my parents deserve all the credit for this.
I was introduced to woodturning by Chris Huddle Snr, somewhere around 2009. The ability to turn away the different layers of tree and so having a glimpse into its past and the story it wants to tell, completely fascinated me. It was under his guidance and using his equipment that I crafted my first few pieces.
I will always be grateful to him for the inspiration and allowing me to spend countless hours in his workshop, observing, learning and just chatting about trees and wood.
Then came Covid, and tourism came to a sudden halt. After over 20 years in the outdoor industry, I began turning regularly, and the lathe has been spinning ever since.
Now a few years down the line I have diverse and continuously growing product line. All still salvaged, indigenous and handcrafted by me.
Everything is still for the love of indigenous wood and the stories it wants to tell.
Goeies!
